The story starts on Dongji Island, where the first sunshine touches China on the East Sea of Pacific Ocean. Because of the urbanization, villagers of Dongji will all move to the continent. Before leaving their hometown, they have a celebrating gala...
All the people have left, except Ma Haohan，Jiang He, and Hu Sheng. Haohan plans to meet a girl net friend, expecting a romantic story; geographic teacher Jiang He is assigned to a new school on the other side of the continent, while he has never been to the continent. Hao Han persuades Jiang He to be his “human GPS” on his way to meet the net friend. Hu Sheng would like to see the world with two big brother, so here the adventure begins.
On their first stop, they meet a fraud ring. A fake massage girl not only brings troubles to the three, but also makes Jiang He falling in love for her. What’s more, when Jiang He and Haohan flee from the motel, they forget to bring Hu Sheng...
Nevertheless, a lot more absurd, ironic experiences await them on the road...after fraud, old-friend visiting, car stolen, they arrive a mountainous area in the west. Haohan decide to stay, Jiang He continues to travel to his school. The worldviews of two friends diverge from each other, they have to face a farewell...
Three years later, Dongji Island becomes a tourist attraction. When Hu Sheng and Jiang He have a reunion there, they see news of Ma Haohan on TV，which is as marvelous as he used to be.
